Safety Director Dave Thompson Guest Speaker at PCEA Meeting

Henderson Safety Director Dave Thompson was a guest speaker at the February Membership meeting of the National Professional Construction Estimators Association of America (PCEA), Hampton Roads Chapter on Wednesday evening, February 8th.

Dave spoke about the tangible and intangible costs of safety. Safety is an unexpected cost of construction that many don’t take seriously. With more emphasis on safe working sites by the customer, the cost is not just in the training required, but the effort to ensure that each and every project and construction company has a clean safety slate.

Other than sunburn or a back ache that is. But if your house has natural gas, or if your electrical service is underground, you might be putting yourself and your family at considerable risk. August 11th was national Call 811 day, bringing awareness to this very topic.
