Henderson Superintendent honored with Safety Achievement Award nomination

Henderson Project Superintendent Rich Warfield is being honored on Friday, July 22 as a 2010 Tradesperson Safety Achievement Award nominee. The Virginia Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors is hosting the luncheon and recognizing each of the five nominees for their continuous efforts towards safety excellence. Rich was nominated for being proactive on his job site and posing questions and figurative scenarios that caused the State Corporation Commission to write new procedures for such events. Rich asked “What happens when there is gas line damage near a railroad line?” Virginia already leads the world in underground utility protection, and now because of Rich, that program is stronger. Congratulations Rich!
