The Hound's Tale Celebrates Opening in Merchants Square

It’s true what J.R.R. Tolkien said. If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.

So a merrier world we set out to help build!

Henderson Incorporated is excited to help celebrate the launch of The Hound’s Tale restaurant, which opened its doors last month to diners. The new eatery, which we were proud to lead the construction and build out for, is tucked off DOG Street near Colonial Williamsburg at 515 Prince George Street.

Henderson Incorporated Team Members Celebrate Decades of Service in 2015

Henderson Hosts 20th Annual Wood Cut, Delivers Warmth To Families Across Williamsburg

It’s true. As Winston Churchill said, we make a living by what we get and make a life by what we give.

Just before the sun rose Saturday, November 21, nearly 100 of Henderson, Incorporated’s team members and their families gathered in the maintenance shop ready to give.

In the nearby lay down yard (a field on the property), dozens of tree-size logs, wood splitters and chainsaws awaited.

"Enjoy and embrace what today is all about," Leslie Henderson Schultz, Henderson’s Vice President told the group. “Today is about giving back to our community.”

Don’t let the one digit number fool you! 5 years translates into 1,216,587 man hours! This means that Henderson employees have worked well over a million hours without putting themselves or their fellow team members in harm’s way – that’s pretty impressive!

One Million and Counting

The week of September 1st 2014, Henderson, Inc. reached a major milestone in company history.  During this week, Henderson employees worked our one-millionth consecutive man-hour without having a lost time injury.  To put that in perspective, the last time we had a lost time injury was August 1, 2010, or 4 years 1 month and 4ish days.

Beyond the Building Cornhole Tournament

Henderson's Beyond the Building Committee strikes again!  Hot on the heels of our last team building extravaganza, our bowling competition, a cornhole tournament was held in June to build upon the camaraderie and fun!  To beat (some of) the heat, the event was held under a covered laydown yard at our office and Saf
